SingularityNET was attacked, where the attackers exploited compromised signing and coin minting privileges to transfer approximately 8.72 million FET tokens. They also unauthorizedly minted around 2.3 billion AGIX, NTX, WMTX, and CGV tokens. The article reconstructed the events through individual transactions, distinguishing between the book value of the tokens and the actual cash proceeds. It was noted that the attackers obtained a total of about 2.29 million US dollars in liquid assets, and a large number of the newly minted tokens remain unsold. This incident exposed issues such as cross-chain bridges relying on off-chain signatures, a lack of independent verification, and insufficient quota restrictions. As a result, there are subsequent challenges including the illegal issuance of tokens entering the market, impaired cross-chain settlement capabilities, and difficulties in determining the eligibility for token exchanges.
