CoinMeta data: Circle and Tether have frozen stablecoins from wallets related to the $351.6 million Bitget hacking incident. On Friday at UTC at 05:00, this address was added to the blacklist; on Etherscan, it was marked as " Bitget Exploiter 8". The wallet held approximately 170.47 ETH, 218,023 USDT, and 99,990 USDC. MistTrack indicates that this wallet has also been banned, with about $318,000 in stablecoins being frozen. Trackers from MistTrack show that other hacker addresses still hold over 63,000 ETH and cannot be frozen. The CEO of Bitget, Gracy Chen, stated that the attackers exploited the backend systems within the exchange wallet infrastructure to forge transaction data in order to transfer funds, ruling out the possibility of private key leakage. Chen also mentioned that the user protection fund of Bitget holds over $464 million, which is sufficient to cover these losses.
