Moonpay Plans to Acquire North Capital for Over $60 Million

According to CoinMeta, fintech company Moonpay has signed an agreement to acquire North Capital Investment Technology in a all-stock transaction worth over $60 million. Upon completion of the transaction, North Capital will become a wholly-owned subsidiary of Moonpay, and its securities brokerage, investment advisory, and clearing capabilities will be integrated into Moonpay's infrastructure. The North Capital platform has facilitated a total of $8.7 billion in primary and secondary transactions, with its subsidiary PPEx ATS supporting over 1,250 secondary asset transactions. The transaction has been approved by the boards of directors of both parties but still requires fulfillment of delivery conditions and regulatory approval.
