According to CoinMeta, Wu said that the Brazilian Central Bank issued Resolution No. 588, amending the current anti-money laundering and counter-terrorist financing regulations. Starting from October 1, 2026, any transaction involving virtual assets with an amount of $10,000 or more transferred in or out of self-hosted wallets will be subject to specific reporting requirements. The new regulations target reporting obligations and do not impose a ban on transfers between self-hosted wallets, nor do they stipulate that multiple transactions below $10,000 need to be automatically combined for calculation.
