According to CoinMeta, the U.S. Commodity Futures Trading Commission (CFTC) continues to welcome crypto and blockchain activities, suggesting that regulated companies can treat tokenized assets as the same as their traditional forms, and that blockchain is sufficient for record-keeping purposes. In an updated guidance released on Thursday, the CFTC stated that platforms under its regulation can invest customer funds in tokenized assets that have been deemed compliant. The CFTC also emphasized that tokenized assets must grant holders the same or functionally equivalent legal and economic rights as traditional assets.
