The US plans to use stablecoins as a weapon dominated by the dollar

According to CoinMeta, the United States hopes to strengthen the global dominance of the dollar through stablecoins. The Trump administration is considering an initiative to promote the use of dollar-backed stablecoins overseas, in order to maintain foreign users' dependence on the dollar and create new buyers for U.S. Treasury bonds. Several federal agencies may be involved, including the Treasury Department, the State Department, and the U.S. International Development Finance Corporation. Stablecoin issuers currently hold nearly $200 billion in Treasury bonds, and this figure is expected to continue to grow. Meanwhile, the central banks of China and Europe are also advancing their own digital currencies, but unlike the U.S. strategy, they do not want private enterprises to be involved in their monetary policies.
