According to CoinMeta, Kraken's parent company, Payward, whose payment company is Reap, has launched a virtual asset ledger. Users can directly use their balances of virtual assets such as BTC to make purchases through cards issued by Visa. The conversion is done at real-time exchange rates during payment, eliminating the need to pre-convert to stablecoins. Data from Reap shows that in July 2026, the amount spent on bank card transactions using virtual assets reached 1.04 billion US dollars.
