Robinhood Chain saw a significant shift in the crypto Launchpad landscape last week. Data from analyst Adam_Tehc shows that weekly Launchpad transaction volume on the chain reached $1.23 billion, slightly higher than PumpSwap's approximately $1.22 billion during the same period. While the difference is small, it indicates a rapid increase in transaction activity on this new chain.
Weekly transaction volume approaching that of leading platforms
PumpSwap, relying on the relatively mature Pump.fun ecosystem on Solana, has long been an important platform for Meme coin trading. Robinhood Chain, despite its shorter launch time, pushed Launchpad's trading volume to near and briefly surpassed PumpSwap's within a week, indicating that users and liquidity are rapidly accumulating.
CoinDesk previously cited DefiLlama data, stating that the total value locked in Robinhood Chain has increased to approximately $312 million since mid-July, roughly tripling in size. The report also mentioned that the chain currently has an average daily DEX trading volume exceeding $600 million, placing it among the more active networks in the crypto market.
Meme Coin remains the primary driving force.
Looking at the trading structure, Robinhood Chain's most active tokens are still Meme coins, rather than its initially touted tokenized stocks. The article mentions that the most popular tokens on the chain are Meme coin projects like Hoodrat, Vladhood, and Swole Doge.
It's worth noting that existing data doesn't show a significant diversion of existing Meme coin transactions from Pump.fun. The article argues that these transactions are more likely due to increased activity rather than a simple trade-off between platforms. If this trend continues, it means that overall participation in the Meme coin market is still expanding.
Tokenized stocks are growing, but their share remains low.
Besides Memecoin, tokenized real-world assets on the Robinhood Chain are also gaining traction. CoinDesk, citing DefiLlama data, reports that the active market capitalization of on-chain tokenized stocks has risen to approximately $70 million, a roughly fivefold increase in less than two weeks.
Among them, the daily trading volume of tokenized GameStop stock was approximately $26.6 million, Nvidia approximately $14 million, and SpaceX approximately $6.4 million. More than ten tokenized stocks have seen daily trading volumes exceeding $500,000, with five of them exceeding $1 million.
However, the current total daily trading volume of tokenized stocks is approximately $55 million, which is still less than one-tenth of the total daily trading volume of the blockchain's overall DEX. At this stage, Robinhood Chain's main traffic and trading volume are still dominated by Meme token transactions.
On-chain activity continues to rise
The article also mentions that Robinhood Chain saw 138 million transactions in the past 30 days. Combined with the simultaneous growth in Launchpad trading volume, DEX trading volume, and total value locked (TVL), this indicates that its activity level is not a one-day spike, but rather a sign of sustained expansion.
For the market, the more important question isn't whether Robinhood Chain is temporarily leading PumpSwap, but rather whether it's bringing in new users and transactions. If subsequent data continues to be high, the chain's positioning in the Meme coin and tokenized stock tracks may become clearer.
