On November 6th, according to IT, during the financial report conference call for the fourth quarter of fiscal year 2026 (from June 28, 2026, to September 26, 2026), held on November 3rd, Apple's new CEO John Ternus announced that Mac sales for fiscal year 2026 (from September 28, 2025, to September 26, 2026) reached a record high.

Tenuis stated at the meeting that Apple sold a record number of Mac units in fiscal year 2026, surpassing any previous fiscal year and setting a new high for the company's history. He said, "We have never sold so many Mac units in a single fiscal year, which fully demonstrates the exceptional quality of these products."

Apple's Chief Financial Officer, Kevin Parker ( Kevan Parekh ), stated that the sales volume of Mac mainly benefited from the recent booming sales of MacBook Neo and MacBook Pro.

Tech media MacRumors believes that against the backdrop of intensified competition in the PC market, and continuous pressure from the AI laptop and Windows camps, Apple's Mac product line has still gained strong user recognition. IT Home援引 a blog post stating that since Apple shifted to self-developed Apple Sil tokenized chip manufacturing, its advantages in performance, battery life, and energy efficiency have been considered key factors driving user upgrades and attracting new customers.

In terms of product lineup, Apple has launched the Mac and mini models equipped with M6 and M5 Pro chips, as well as the Mac Studio model fitted with M5 Max and M5 Ultra chips, further expanding its desktop Mac portfolio.

Earlier this week, the results of the U.S. mid-term elections sparked concerns in the market regarding spending related to AI and tighter regulations on data centers, with tech stock sell-offs continuing into the Asia-Pacific markets. On November 6th, stock markets in Japan and South Korea tumbled, with the Nikkei 225 and South Korea's KOSPI both falling into bear market territory; several analysts believe that the mid-term impact may be relatively mild, as the market had already partially digested the election results. The real key factors remain U.S. interest rates, the dollar, trade and technology policies, as well as corporate earnings performance.
