Palumbo will participate in the Dario third-quarter 2026 financial report conference call to share the board of directors' views on the trends of consumer healthcare, payer-led healthcare, and the integration of chronic disease management.

New York, November 4, 2026 / PRNewswire / -- DarioHealth Corp. ( NASDAQ : DRIO, hereinafter referred to as "the Company", " DarioHealth " or " Dario ") is an artificial intelligence-driven healthcare technology company dedicated to transforming the management of chronic diseases. The Company announced today that its board of directors has appointed John R Palumbo as the chairman, effective from November 3, 2026. Palumbo joined the board of directors in April 2026, succeeding Yoav Shaked who has served as chairman since 2018; Shaked will continue to serve as a director.

The company stated that this appointment comes at a time when two historically separate healthcare markets are beginning to merge. Consumers are increasingly choosing their own entry points into the healthcare system through AI tools, home testing, and direct access to brand-specific health therapies for men and women; at the same time, payers continue to fund the management of potential chronic diseases, which account for about 90% of healthcare expenditures in the United States. Payors are redesigning the structure of insurance plans; after the U.S. Centers for Medicare & Medicaid Services (CMS) introduced ACCESS Model in July 2026, they have now begun to pay for outcomes related to hypertension, diabetes, musculoskeletal diseases, and depression—diseases that align with Dario's existing chronic disease management services.

Dario CEO Erez Raphael stated: "For over a decade, the industry has viewed consumer health and chronic disease care as two distinct businesses. Today, these two areas are gradually merging, and Dario has been working on building a platform at the intersection of both for the past ten years. John's career has always been deeply involved with payment providers, healthcare service providers, and health service organizations, which are shaping the direction of this market; since April, he has also been working closely with our team. With him leading the board of directors as we seek to seize this opportunity, it clearly demonstrates our ambitions."

Palumbo means: "Consumers make the choice, but the payers are the ones who foot the bill for their underlying chronic diseases. I believe that value will flow towards those who control the path between the two and build a bridge for patients. Over the past six months, I have worked side by side with Erez and their team, and I have seen things that the market may not have fully recognized yet: a strong team driven by a culture that focuses on its members and results, as well as a platform that is specifically designed for this path, integrating consumer engagement capabilities with an evidence system that meets the requirements of payers within a single platform. As chairman, my focus is to ensure that the company fully realizes all the strategic value of this positioning."

Shaked It has been my honor to serve as the Chairman of Dario since 2018. John is the right person to lead the board into the next phase, and I look forward to continuing to support the company in my role as a director.

Dario believes that this integration will drive the management of chronic diseases from a focus on individual diseases to a system that is driven by AI, clinically supported, and eligible for reimbursement. It will also connect both consumer and payer portals through a single member record. The company states that it has spent over a decade building this system:

  • A unified platform that combines the intelligent capabilities of DarioIQ with the clinical services of Dario Care, sharing the same clinical engine and evidence base across different diseases. In Dario's contracted and later-stage annual recurring revenue (ARR), over 80% comes from multi-disease business.
  • A proprietary technology stack, including networked devices deployed in members' homes that have been approved by FDA, as well as over 13 billion proprietary data points.
  • Experience on both ends of the market: has a solid foundation in consumer business; has completed over 100 scientific studies; has signed contracts with more than 180 corporate clients, including providing services for over a dozen health insurance programs.
  • Clinical and economic evidence has been published, including: users with type 2 diabetes can save $5,077 per year; the number of hospital admissions and discharges for related members is reduced by 23.5%; and an independent review of Aon across 17 studies supports a reduction in total medical costs of 2.5% to 7.2% for that year.
  • A growth model driven by partners, with approximately 75% of new customers coming from channel partners.

Palumbo will participate in the Dario third-quarter 2026 financial report conference call on November 12, 2026, to share the board of directors' views on these market changes and the company's strategic priorities.

The company stated that Palumbo has over 40 years of experience in healthcare operations, spanning from early-stage enterprises to Fortune 100 companies. He has held senior management positions at AmerisourceBergen Corporation (now Cencora, Inc), where he led the healthcare service provider business unit and transformed consulting and technical capabilities into a multi-billion-dollar platform serving the entire U.S. healthcare system; he also served as the Chief Operating Officer at Allscripts Healthcare Solutions, Inc (now Veradigm, Inc), and held management roles at Shared Medical Systems Corporation (now Oracle). He has supported two companies in completing IPO and led large-scale operations and business transformations.

Currently, he serves as a director of PM Pediatrics Management Group, LLC, Lucid Diagnostics Inc, ivWatch, LLC, Qless, and Inc. He also holds the position of chairman of the advisory boards for Brado Cuneo Nollau and LLC; the latter is a AI driving interaction platform that serves the medical system.

Regarding DarioHealth Corp. ( NASDAQ : DRIO )

DarioHealth ( Nasdaq : DRIO ) is a healthcare technology company driven by AI, helping health insurance plans, medical systems, and employers to reduce costs of care while improving health outcomes. The company's integrated platform combines connected devices, personalized member interactions, AI-driven insights, and clinical care supported by healthcare providers to support individuals with conditions such as diabetes, hypertension, weight management, musculoskeletal diseases, and behavioral health needs.

The company stated that, leveraging over 13 billion proprietary longitudinal healthcare data points collected over more than a decade, its AI platform analyzes biometric, clinical, and behavioral data to personalize care at the individual member level, thereby providing more timely and effective interventions. By integrating interaction, clinical intelligence, and care delivery on a single platform, Dario helps customers address multiple chronic diseases with a single solution.

Bitcoin's reaction to the midterms was lukewarm; experts say the market has already digested the Democratic Party's sweeping victory.
After the Democratic Party won control of both the House of Representatives and the Senate in the U.S. midterms, Bitcoin initially fell before rising 1.6% to $78,277. Analysts interviewed said that this outcome was largely anticipated by the market, but it will increase the uncertainty surrounding crypto policy prospects and make the advancement of Clarity Act more complex.
