On November 3rd, according to IT, during the latest financial report conference call, Apple's Chief Financial Officer Kevin Parker predicted that revenue for the first fiscal quarter of 2027 would reach $158.18 billion, a year-on-year increase of 10%, setting a new record for Apple's quarterly revenue.
According to public information from the IT website, Apple's record for single-quarter revenue was set in the first fiscal quarter of 2026, with revenue reaching 143.756 billion US dollars, representing a year-on-year increase of 16%.
Parake stated in the latest financial report conference call that after taking into account "limited supply," revenue for the first fiscal quarter of 2027 is expected to reach up to approximately $158.18 billion, with a year-over-year growth of 7% to 10%.
For Apple, the first fiscal quarter, which includes the Christmas shopping season, is usually the quarter with the highest revenue and strongest profitability of the year; if the guidance is met, hardware sales such as iPhone and high-value service businesses will continue to be at the core of growth. Apple expects service revenue to increase by 8% to 9% year-over-year, continuing its growth model driven by high gross margins and recurring income.
However, the company's overall gross margin is expected to fall between 45% and 46%, which is under pressure compared to previous levels. The reasons include rising memory costs, as well as related investments associated with the expansion of Siri's artificial intelligence capabilities. On the expense side, Apple expects operating expenses to be between $20.4 billion and $20.8 billion, with a tax rate of about 17%.
