The cryptocurrency trading platform Frontrun.pro has publicly stated its desire to acquire Blast, and has indicated that it is willing to offer a starting bid of $50,000 to initiate the transaction. It also mentioned that it already has a team and potential investors ready to support this blockchain.

  • Frontrun made public contact with Blast and proposed a plan to acquire the company behind them.
  • $50,000 was described as the starting bid, and the final acquisition price was not disclosed.
  • The identities of the potential investors are not disclosed, and the post states that their participation is contingent upon the company completing the sale.
  • Blast had previously announced plans to shut down, citing that operating costs exceeded its Layer revenue.

In a post on X on October 29th, Frontrun.pro asked whether the Blast team would consider selling the company, indicating that they have personnel available to contribute to the network and that there are also investors willing to provide funding.

This contact was directly sent to the account of Blast, along with a dedicated email address for acquisition inquiries. The post did not specify the legal entity making the offer, nor did it name the proposed investors or provide a timeline for the transaction.

Frontrun proposes starting with an investment of $50,000, with the potential intention to invest subject to the condition of a sale.

The post describes the potential investment as being conditional on a sale, stating that the company must first change hands before investors will invest funds into Blast.

Frontrun wrote: 'We are prepared to bid $50,000 as the starting capital for the transaction.'

The wording does not specify whether this amount is a down payment, a negotiation figure, or the total consideration they ultimately hope to pay. Nor are there any details about the proportion of shares to be acquired, the payment structure, or a list of assets mentioned in the message.

Although Frontrun claims that this blockchain can be "10 times better," they have not provided any technical solutions, performance targets, or budgets to support this claim. The post also does not describe any changes to the validators, infrastructure, applications, or BLAST tokens.

The announcement neither includes any acceptance of the Blast response nor any agreement signing. The message merely requests to initiate a discussion and provides a contact email address.

Blast The previously announced shutdown plan included a deadline for the withdrawal interface.

Earlier this month, crypto.news reported that Blast had announced its closure, as the team stated that the cost of maintaining the network operation was higher than the revenue generated by Layer 2.

In the announcement on October 2nd mentioned in that report, Blast indicated that there was no credible path to achieving economic sustainability, and users were urged to withdraw their assets to the Ethereum mainnet. This requirement applied to both the balances within their progressive web applications and the funds on the network.

It is announced that October 26th will be set as the deadline for using the regular withdrawal interface. After this date, assets can still be withdrawn by interacting directly with the bridge contract on Ethereum. Relevant instructions will be provided before the deadline.

Before restoring withdrawals and reducing the delay to 24 hours, the team plans to withdraw Lido of the Blast assets first. The team estimates that this process will take about a week, during which time user withdrawals will be temporarily unavailable.

Additionally, as of October 29th, the public status page for Blast indicated that its mainnet, block generation, public RPC, and batch submissions were all in operational status. No incidents were listed on that day on the page.

Blast attracted deposits even before going live on the mainnet.

Blast was founded by Blur and co-founder Tieshun Roquerre, who is also known as Pacman. The project began accepting deposits even before the mainnet was available.

According to historical reports citing DeFiLlama, as of December 2023, its deposit scale had exceeded 720 million US dollars. Users pre-deposit funds through multi-signature contracts and simultaneously earn profits from the encrypted assets they deposit.

At that stage, the project combined a native revenue model with an anticipated token airdrop. The early deposit arrangements were questioned due to the lack of a live mainnet and the use of multi-signature wallets.

In May 2025, Blast concluded its integration with Safe due to third-party risks and availability issues, while also preparing for its own multi-signature wallet functionality.

Users who access these wallets through the Safe interface are directed to the BrahmaFi custody interface, or they have the option to choose self-custody. At that time, Blast indicated that the multi-signature feature was being directly built into Blast Mobile.
