Some brands will be among the first to view their product portfolios and the markets they operate in through exclusive information.

New York, October 28, 2026 / PRNewswire / -- FoodTechAI ™ Pioneer WISEcode ™ today announces the launch of the WISEcode Intelligence ™ beta version. This is the company's first AI product specifically designed for food and beverage companies. Brands participating in the test can see how their products, as well as those of their competitors, perform within the WISEcode food rating system, with details down to each individual ingredient, covering various attributes related to health, quality, and value.

A market perspective that did not exist before

Food companies can have sales data that is precise to beyond the decimal point, but they previously lacked a clear understanding of what products on the shelves actually contain, as well as what each ingredient listed on the labels really is. Labels do list the ingredients, but they do not provide an explanation for them; nor do sales reports offer any clarification. WISEcode indicates that WISEcode Intelligence has filled this gap through The Food Genome Project ™ (the Food Genomics Project). This project represents a component-level mapping of ingredients supplied to American packaged foods by WISEcode.

With the help of WISEcode AI – an intelligent agent assistant that can answer questions in natural language – test participants can:

  • Analyze its complete product portfolio from aspects such as ingredient quality, nutritional composition, processing level, and health research behind each ingredient.
  • Check the regulatory status of ingredients, including FDA GRAS notifications and directories, and also perform clean label analysis as well as dozens of other attribute analyses.
  • Compare each product with its competitors and identify market gaps within their respective categories.
  • View the driving factors behind each rating, as well as which formula adjustments would change the ratings.
  • Release the product to WISEcode consumer applications, and apply for Non - UPF Verification certification.

"Consumers are paying more attention to ingredients than ever before, and many even check them with their phones in hand in front of supermarket shelves," said Craig Anderson, Senior Vice President of Industry and Government Solutions at WISEcode. "This allows brands to see what those judgments will look like before customers make them and to compare them with competitors in the same category. It also tells brands what measures they can take: which ingredient substitutions will change ratings, and which areas still have room for improvement. Brands that adopt this first will set the standards by which others will be measured in the future."

The company stated that the feedback from test participants will determine the final form of the official version, with the full version expected to be released in early 2027. Food and beverage companies interested in participating in the testing can contact [ email protected ].

About WISEcode ™

WISEcode claims to be a forerunner of FoodTechAI. The company states that it has categorized the food supply in the United States – starting from grocery stores – into five main categories: ingredients, nutrition, value, health outcomes, and contaminants. This has led to the creation of their proprietary WISEcode Intelligence Platform, which they describe as “the most comprehensive view of food to date.” Built on top of this platform is WISEcode AI, an intelligent research assistant that provides FoodTruth to all individuals related to the food industry, including policymakers, scientists, retailers, brand owners, health advisors, and consumers. The company’s goal is to create “one platform, one standard, one source of information about the truth about food.”

For consumers, WISEcode applications provide personalized nutrition services, evaluating each type of food based on the factors that truly matter to each individual. For policymakers, scientists, and businesses, WISEcode Intelligence ™ shows what is included in the food system and how these components are related to health. WISEcode indicates that it does not tell anyone what to eat, but rather provides accurate information about food, allowing people to make their own decisions.

Find Your FoodTruth ™. Users can download the free WISEcode application at App Store or Google Play, or visit WISEcode.ai.

About The Food Genome Project ™

WISEcode indicates that, just as with the previous Human Genome Project, The Food Genome Project ™ is a mapping of another aspect closely related to human health: the supply of packaged food in the United States, down to each individual ingredient. This project, which took several years to complete, traced the 267,130 ingredient terms used on American food labels back to their underlying 8,631 actual ingredients, including thousands of compounds that are not required by industry to be specifically listed. Each of these ingredients was then evaluated based on current health and safety research. The company claims that the result is the most comprehensive ingredient-level map of American packaged food, and it is updated daily. This map also forms the basis for WISEcode to provide various services to consumers, scientists, policymakers, and the food industry.
