Connexus Credit Union Renews and expands its long-term cooperation with Alkami to advance digital banking services and strengthen member relationships

The second renewal reflects Connexus's continuous investment in digital innovation. The organization is utilizing the software development toolkit ( SDK ) provided by Alkami to expand its own development capabilities and to offer personalized member experiences.

Plano, Texas, October 27, 2026 / PRNewswire / -- Alkami Technology, a provider of digital sales and service platforms for financial institutions in the United States (Nasdaq ticker: ALKT, hereinafter referred to as “Alkami”), emphasized today that its long-term partnership with Connexus Credit Union (hereinafter referred to as “Connexus”) continues to be successful. As one of the earliest customers of Alkami, Connexus has renewed its cooperation agreement with Alkami for the second time, reaffirming its commitment to a flexible digital banking infrastructure that can continue to evolve in line with changes in member expectations and business priorities.

More than a decade after the start of their collaboration, Connexus is still using Alkami's digital banking platform to provide an intuitive and personalized member experience, while also supporting institutions in achieving broader goals in digital interaction, lending, and relationship growth. Connexus is still utilizing Alkami's software development toolkit ( SDK ) to create customized digital experiences for the members and products of that credit cooperative.

Connexus Credit Union, Senior Vice President of the Market, stated: "The reason Connexus chose Alkami is that we wanted to have a strategic technology partner who could support our long-term vision. More than a decade later, this remains unchanged. Alkami provides us with a reliable foundation that supports the daily experience of our members, and also allows us to flexibly build Connexus's unique capabilities, while continuously advancing our digital strategy. This is also the reason why it was a logical decision for us to renew our cooperation."

Alkami indicates that by utilizing its platform and SDK, Connexus has deployed a number of digital capabilities, including Snapshot, account reminders, internal and external transfers, card management, and has created a Xtraordinary Checking progress tracker to further enhance the differentiation of its digital banking platform. These experiences help members manage their daily financial activities, while also making the value of Connexus products more relevant and visible in the digital banking context.

Connexus indicates that its digitalization strategy is also bringing quantifiable business results:

  • Lending growth accelerates: Since the beginning of the year, 38% of loan applications have come from digital banks, higher than the 16% in 2020.
  • Loan amount increase: Since the beginning of the year, 41% of the total loan disbursements have come from digital banks, compared to 12% in 2020.
  • Deepening adoption of products: Digital bank users hold an average of about 17% more products per person than the average account holder of Connexus.
  • Member satisfaction improvement: The overall net recommendation score ( NPS ) has increased from 42.3 in 2022 to 58 in 2025; during the same period, for digital banks ( NPS ), it rose from 31.1 to 52.7.
  • Increased interactivity: The comprehensive rating of the Connexus mobile application is 4.72, which includes over 14,000 ratings from Apple users.

Alkami Chief Customer Officer Wayne McCulloch stated: " Connexus demonstrates what can be achieved when a financial institution combines a deep understanding of its members, internal innovation, and long-term technical collaboration. Connexus's continuous investment in digital banking is helping to create a more convenient member experience, while also supporting meaningful business outcomes in areas such as interaction, lending, and relationship depth. We are proud to continue to collaborate closely with Connexus to help them build their capabilities for the next phase."

Alkami indicates that this case of expanded cooperation has been documented in two recently released materials. The first case study explores how Connexus utilized the Alkami digital banking platform and SDK to drive internal innovation, create a customized member experience, and support its broader digitalization strategy.

The supporting white paper "Expanding Relationships Beyond Indirect Lending" ( Expanding the Relationship Beyond the Indirect Loan ) explores how financial institutions such as Connexus can transform borrowers into deeper customer relationships.

Huggins indicates that 'indirect loan borrowers often do not intentionally choose Connexus Credit Union as their financial institution. What they are looking for is a car, or other financial needs, and it is Connexus that becomes the lending partner to help meet these needs. We must seize the opportunity to establish a broader relationship from the very beginning by providing a simple, reliable, and relevant experience.'

According to Alkami, through new member onboarding, digital bank account opening and registration, convenient loan repayments, targeted email and advertising campaigns, personalized in-app messages, as well as internally developed recommendations for the next best products, Connexus is creating more opportunities to encourage members to adopt more products and services.

Alkami indicates that you can learn about the Connexus digital banking project through the case studies published, and you can also refer to the white paper "Expanding Relationships Beyond Indirect Lending" to further understand the Anticipatory Banking and Alkami digital sales and service platforms.
