NVIDIA News: After investing in Meta, the chip manufacturer has secured an even larger hardware order for AI
According to The Wall Street Journal, NVIDIA will invest $3 billion in the upcoming stock issuance of Meta. This transaction will bring the chip manufacturer and one of its largest customers even closer together.
As part of the same protocol, Meta will expand the use of NVIDIA hardware to support the next generation of agents behind its Muse AI products, which includes the Vera Rubin system and Vera CPU.
Meta is seeking to raise up to $95 billion by selling shares, which will be used for its AI infrastructure expenditures, including the non-voting shares it launched last week.
CNBC reports that AMD and Broadcom have also expressed non-binding interest in purchasing a total of up to $5 billion worth of Meta shares.
This investment has exacerbated concerns from the outside world regarding circular financing, namely that NVIDIA provides funds to its customers, who then use these funds to purchase NVIDIA's chips.
