Tao Dong: Major Shock in U.S. Stocks, Is This the Arrival of a Bear Market or a Re-shuffle?
Tao Dong believes that the bond market has taken the lead in reducing risks associated with the excessive expansion of the AI industry, and now the stock market has begun to re-evaluate the investment returns and profit prospects of AI. This round of adjustments does not necessarily mean the end of the AI story, but companies with high leverage, dependence on continuous financing, and unclear profit prospects face higher risks. Gold stocks ETF plummet; how to view this sharp drop in gold prices?
Recently, international gold prices have continued to decline, with London gold briefly falling below $4,000 per ounce. The precious metals sector in the A-share market and ETF have weakened simultaneously, with a clear outflow of funds. Multiple institutions believe that the recent decline is related to liquidity crunches, leverage stop-losses, ETF redemptions, and a shift of funds towards U.S. Treasury bonds. In the short term, sentiment is cautious, but there are still disagreements among institutions regarding whether the factors supporting gold prices in the medium to long term have changed.
