P&G's personal care business saw a 0.4% decline in sales this quarter. This segment includes Gillette ( Gillette ) and Venus razors.
This quarter, the company's health care business was the weakest segment of the portfolio. Due to a decline in demand for oral care products (such as Crest toothpaste) and personal health care products (such as Pepto-Bismol), sales for this business fell by 2.9%.
In a statement, CEO Shailesh Jejurikar stated that the company expects to continue facing "geopolitical and economic challenges" in the future, but Procter & Gamble is on track to achieve its goals as planned.
For the fiscal year 2027, Procter & Gamble reaffirmed its core earnings per share forecast range of $6.89 to $7.11.
