The article cites the views of Dr. Sarah Mathias, a pediatric dentist from Laguna Hills, California, who argues that having the first dental visit as early as possible helps to prevent cavities, assess oral development, and provides parents with guidance on feeding, brushing teeth, and the use of fluoride toothpaste.
