IT noticed that SpaceX has released its report for the third quarter of the fiscal year 2026 (July to September 2026) of the 2026 fiscal year (January 2026 to December 2026) today:

  • Total operating revenue: $14.575 billion (Note from IT: The current exchange rate is approximately 97.56 billion RMB), a year-on-year increase of 161% and a month-on-month increase of 86.52%.

In addition, during the financial report conference call, Elon Musk stated that both SpaceX and Tesla have established special committees composed of independent directors to study the potential possibility of a merger between the two companies.

If the transaction ultimately goes through, it is expected to become the largest corporate merger in history. Musk stated that there are "many benefits" to the merger, especially in terms of jointly developing "super intelligent" software and advancing businesses such as artificial intelligence and autonomous driving, where there is tremendous potential for collaboration. However, he emphasized that the committees of both companies have not yet reached an agreement on the terms of the deal, so the merger is not certain at this time.
