Yingtou Securities senior economist Jose Torres wrote: "Last Friday, on the eve of an intensifying wave of selling, the cost of volatility hedging soared during trading; now that market confidence in technology prospects has recovered, counterparties have begun to unwind their hedging positions, and Wall Street can heave a sigh of relief."
