Key Points

  • Revenue in the third quarter of 2026 increased by 7% compared to the third quarter of 2025.
  • In the third quarter of 2026, key market revenues increased by 9% compared to the third quarter of 2025, driving a year-to-date growth of 12%.
  • In the first nine months of 2026, recurring revenue increased by 17% compared to the same period in 2025, a faster growth rate than the overall revenue growth, and accounted for 42% of the total revenue during that period.

Nedap CEO Rob Schuurman indicates:

"We are still advancing the Step Up strategy as planned! The third quarter reflected customers' ongoing demand for our solutions, and recurring revenue once again grew faster than total revenue. As this foundation continues to expand, it provides an increasingly strong support for sustainable long-term growth and value creation."

In the Livestock business, revenue decreased compared to the third quarter of 2025, reflecting the impact of delivery timing and the ongoing transition towards a subscription-based product model. Healthcare and Retail contributed to revenue growth, while the revenue from the Security business remained relatively stable.

Outlook

The company expects its revenue in the second half of 2026 to increase compared to the second half of 2025. Geopolitical instability in the Middle East region continues to delay customers' deployment of their security solutions locally. The company remains focused on sustainable long-term growth and will continue to make corresponding investments, with an emphasis on the Nedap technology platform, AI, and cybersecurity.

Key Market Developments

In the third quarter of 2026, recurring revenue continued to grow in all four key markets.

Healthcare achieved revenue growth in the third quarter of 2026. The company further consolidated its position in the fields of disability care and elderly care. More nursing institutions have adopted its treatment record system, reflecting a broader shift in working practices, namely, collaboration among nursing professionals and practitioners within the same record system.

In the Livestock business, revenue in the third quarter of 2026 decreased compared to the strong third quarter of 2025. This mainly reflects timing factors, as well as a further shift towards subscription-based products. With the increased adoption of "as-a-service" products, recurring revenue has risen. The company's installed base continues to expand in multiple regions. Labor shortages, the expansion of farm sizes, and the demand for greater efficiency remain long-term drivers for the demand for cattle monitoring and automation.

In the Retail business, revenue grew in the third quarter of 2026. The company acquired new customers, including retailers that adopted RFID for the first time, as well as those who switched from existing suppliers. The application of its solutions continued to expand from inventory counting to automatic replenishment, shelf availability, and visualization of upper-level inventory. Its self-service checkout product portfolio, which supports RFID, also saw its first large-scale deployment. The previously announced collaboration with VF Corporation reflects the company's Inventory Engine vision of connecting stores with inventory visualization across a broader supply chain. The planned promotion will cover over 1,500 stores under its brand portfolio, and the project will also extend to distribution centers and supplier partners to support end-to-end inventory visualization.

In the Security business, revenue remained relatively stable in the third quarter of 2026. As part of the Bayer's AllAccess plan, Nedap Pace was launched in the first building of the Monheim's Bayer CropScience campus, with the aim of establishing unified physical access management standards for various sites, countries, and access control systems. The company also introduced Nedap Way, a new card reader product line for secure building access control. This product portfolio supports both card-based and mobile access and is compatible with a variety of old and new access control systems, enabling organizations to gradually complete their modernization upgrades.
