The new product will bring built-in installment functionality to eligible daily consumption.

Atlanta, October 13, 2026 / PRNewswire / -- The global installment payment platform Splitit announced today that it is about to launch Splitit World Mastercard. This is a new white-label product aimed at medium-sized banks, credit cooperatives, and other financial institutions. The card is designed as a credit product that combines simplicity, consumer discipline, and the flexibility of installment payments into a single product under the financial institution's own brand.

Daily purchases made using Splitit World Mastercard can be repaid in full within 30 days. Cardholders can set their preferred spending thresholds within the application; any expenses that exceed this amount will automatically be divided into anticipated monthly payments. For example, a consumer can set a threshold so that expenses like buying coffee in the morning do not qualify for installment payments, while purchasing a new laptop can be automatically split into monthly installments. Cardholders maintain control throughout the process and can switch a particular purchase back to a one-time payment or adjust the installment plan before the bill is due through the application.

Splitit provides installment technology and supports the mobile experience of AI; banks can embed it into their own applications. Financial institutions, on the other hand, offer customer relationships, a credible brand, and distribution capabilities. In this way, banks can expand their loan and payment products within the existing customer experience, providing more choices and flexibility without outsourcing customer relationships. This is particularly important for small and medium-sized banks that wish to gain a larger share in customers' daily consumption.

“Splitit World Mastercard is a new type of credit card aimed at banks and credit cooperatives. For consumers, it offers the simplicity of a debit card combined with the flexibility of installment payments,” said Nandan Sheth, the CEO of Splitit. “Banks already have customer relationships, brands, and main accounts. What many of them lack is a way to offer installment payment plans at the point of purchase without having to build a lending business from scratch. Our white-label cards enable them to do just that in their own names.”

This card combines the Splitit installment capabilities with MasterCard’s trusted global payment infrastructure, acceptance network, and its deep relationships in the financial services industry. According to the press release, to participate in this program, issuers, merchants, and distribution channels must follow network guidelines, responsible lending practices, and data usage standards to ensure a secure, reliable, and consistent experience. Consumers, on the other hand, can enjoy the same protections as with other MasterCard products, including tokenization, dispute resolution, and zero-liability protection.

Splitit World Mastercard is expected to be opened to financial institutions in early 2027.
