Square Enix's "Kingdom Hearts" series of games are now available at a permanent discount on the Steam platform. The prices for these games in different regions are as follows:
" KINGDOM HEARTS - HD 1.5 2.5 ReMIX "
Original price: 298 yuan, new price: 198 yuan
“Kingdom Hearts HD 1.5+2.5 ReMIX” is a large-scale high-definition remaster collection launched by Square Enix. The core purpose of this collection is to integrate the key storyline from the early stages of the series onto modern gaming platforms. It includes content from six titles: four action role-playing games (“Kingdom Hearts Final Mix”, “Kingdom Hearts Memories of the Past Remastered”, “Kingdom Hearts 2 Final Mix”, and “Kingdom Hearts Dream of the Future Final Mix”), as well as two feature films presented in high-definition CG quality (“358/2 Days” and “Code Remastered”).
In terms of gameplay mechanics, players primarily assume the role of the protagonist Sora, traveling through various classic Disney worlds and combining the magic and action elements of the Final Fantasy series to combat dark creatures such as "Heartless." This game does not make any subversive changes to the original gameplay; instead, it mainly improves the resolution and frame rate (supporting 60 frames per second), and rearranges the background music.
In terms of its positioning within the series, this collection is touted as "the foundation for beginners and a recap." It completes the majority of the main storyline from the beginning of the series up to before the third installment of the main narrative. In particular, "Birth in Dreams" explains the origins of the series' worldview and the background of the antagonists, making it the most comprehensive and direct way for new players to understand the entire story context of the "Searchers of the Dark" arc.
《KINGDOM HEARTS HD 2.8 Final Chapter Prologue》
Original price: 348 yuan, new price: 198 yuan
“Kingdom Hearts HD 2.8 Final Chapter Prologue” is a transitional collection that serves as a bridge between the previous and subsequent games, primarily serving to lay the groundwork for both the storyline and technology in the final battle of “Kingdom Hearts 3.” This collection comprises three relatively independent segments of content.
The first part is "Kingdom Hearts 3D: Dream Drop Deep High Definition Edition," which tells the story of Sora and Riku participating in the "Master Qualification Exam" and introduces a parkour action system called "Smooth Commands." The second part is a completely new game called "Kingdom Hearts 0.2 Birth of a Dream - fragmentary passage," which is shorter in length (about 2-3 hours) and allows players to control Master Akuya as they navigate a dark world. The third part is the high-definition movie "Kingdom Hearts x Back Cover," which provides additional background information about the eve of the "Keyblade Wars" from the earliest era of the series, told from the perspective of a prophet.
"KINGDOM HEARTS III Re Mind (DLC)"
Original price: 348 yuan, new price: 198 yuan
In DLC, players primarily take on the role of Sora, joining forces with Donald Duck and High Fly as they traverse multiple Disney and Pixar worlds created with a brand-new engine (such as "Toy Story," "Frozen," "Monsters Inc."), to gather the Guardians of Light in order to combat the villainous master Xehanort.
The combat system of this game integrates previous mechanisms, adding keyblade transformations and ride attraction summoning techniques. As for “Re Mind” and “DLC”, they substantially expand the ending content of the game.
