RTX's subsidiary, Raytheon, has secured a five-year contract with an optional two-year extension, totaling up to $6.3 billion, to be used for the production and supply of Standard Missile -3 Block IB ( SM-3 IB ) interceptor missiles.

Raytheon indicates that this contract is one of a series of important agreements recently reached with the U.S. Department of War, aimed at supporting the urgent replenishment of missile defense inventory. This weapon has been successfully used in actual combat and remains a core piece of equipment for protecting U.S. forces, allies, and critical infrastructure.

President Phil Jasper stated: "This award highlights Raytheon's commitment to increasing the production of critical ammunition, ensuring that our customers have the defensive capabilities they need when required. SM-3 Block IB has proven its value in actual combat, and this contract will help us replenish our inventory and keep up with the evolving threats faced by the U.S. Navy, the Missile Defense Agency ( MDA ), and their partners around the world."

RTX indicates that the company has invested a substantial amount of capital to expand production capacity and accelerate the production of key ammunition, including the Standard Missile series. The production under this contract will mainly be completed at the facilities located in Tucson, Arizona, and Huntsville, Alabama, which are identified as Raytheon.

SM-3 and IB are types of shipborne and land-based missile defense interceptors designed to destroy short- to medium-range ballistic missiles during their mid-flight phase. This model was first deployed in actual combat in 2024 and, together with SM-3, IIA, and other models within the Standard Missile family, constitutes an important part of the United States Navy's long-range integrated air defense and missile defense system.

To deliver computing power, Oracle transports natural gas by truck to power its data centers.
According to Bloomberg, in order to address delays in pipeline infrastructure, Oracle is transporting compressed natural gas by truck to maintain the construction and operation progress of multiple AI data centers. This approach has already been implemented in Utah and Texas, and it is also being considered for the “Project Jupiter” project in New Mexico. However, the high costs and the limitations on capacity expansion mean that this solution is more of a short-term transitional measure.
