Amazon released a series of new Alexa tablets on Thursday, equipped with the personalized intelligence provided by its Alexa + AI assistants, and offer full access to the Google Play store. The series includes three models: Amazon Alexa Tablet 12, Pro, Amazon Alexa Tablet 11, and Amazon Alexa Tablet 8.

This tech giant stated that each tablet features an integrated aluminum alloy design, is equipped with a high-resolution display, and runs the Android system. In addition, since users will have access to the Google Play store from the time of launch, they will be able to download millions of applications, including YouTube, Netflix, Gmail, and more.

Previously, Amazon's tablets ran on Fire OS and used their own app store. However, this new tablet adopts a different approach, aiming to reach a wider range of users. An Amazon spokesperson told TechCrunch that this is a brand-new product line, equipped with new hardware and a new operating system, rather than a repackage of the Fire tablets.

Amazon stated in a press release that the Amazon Alexa Tablet 12 Pro has a thickness of 6.5 millimeters and is engineered to achieve "perfect balance." It is equipped with a 12-inch, 280 PPI display screen with a refresh rate of 120Hz and a screen ratio of 3:2, providing more usable display space, making it suitable for reading, watching, or working. The device offers two screen options: a standard display screen and a Nanomatte display screen with anti-glare features.

Amazon claims that the processing performance of the Alexa Tablet 12 Pro is nearly three times that of any tablet it has previously launched, with graphics performance reaching nine times that of its predecessors. The company states that this tablet can easily handle a variety of tasks, from multi-window multitasking and graphically intensive games to 4K streaming playback. It is equipped with Dolby Atmos speakers, Wi-Fi 6E, and can provide up to 16 hours of video playback time.

The company also released Alexa Tablet Pro Pen and Pro Keyboard. Amazon stated that these two accessories are designed to turn Alexa Tablet 12 Pro into a complete workstation.

The starting price of the Alexa Tablet 12 Pro is $499.99, and the starting price of the Nanomatte version is $549.99. This tablet offers Graphite color options.

When the new tablet is launched, it will come pre-installed with Alexa. Users can say " Alexa " or click the " Ask Alexa " button to get answers to questions, control smart home devices, and more. With the help of On - Screen Intelligence, users can also ask Alexa to display the content on the screen for contextual assistance. For example, when browsing a list of hiking routes, users can ask Alexa: "Which of these hiking routes is the most suitable for me?"

Alexa Tablet Equipped with a 11-inch 2.5K display with a pixel density of 276 PPI, it supports 90Hz smooth scrolling and has a screen ratio of 16:10. Amazon claims that this device is designed specifically for streaming, gaming, reading, and browsing. It can provide up to 15 hours of video playback time and is equipped with dual Dolby Atmos speakers. The starting price is $329.99, and it is available in three color options: Graphite, Amethyst, and Matcha.

Alexa Tablet is the smallest and most portable of the three products, featuring an 8.7-inch display and an all-aluminum design, with a weight of 329 grams. Amazon states that it is designed to be held in one hand, making it convenient to carry around for reading, browsing, and mobile streaming. The starting price is $229.99, and it is available in three color options: Graphite, Rosette, and Teal.

All new tablets will come equipped with a brand-new Kindle reading experience. When users open the Kindle app, notifications will be muted, blue light emission will be reduced, and battery life can last up to 20 hours.

The company also announced on Wednesday that it will launch a new Amazon Kids tablet, available in two sizes: 8.7 inches and 11 inches. The package includes the tablet, a protective case to prevent damage from children, as well as a one-year Amazon Kids+ service, which offers thousands of children's books, games, videos, and applications in an ad-free environment.

These products are available in versions for preschool children (over 3 years old) and children over 6 years old. Younger children will receive soft anti-collision protective cases with patterns such as "Paw Patrol" and Barbie, while older children will get thin hard-shell protective cases with built-in brackets.

All three Amazon Alexa tablets and Amazon Kids tablets will go on sale in the United States, Mexico, and Canada on October 14, 2026. They will be available in the UK, Germany, France, Italy, and Spain on October 19, while the Amazon Kids tablet will also be released in Japan on October 14.

Pomerantz Law Firm Reminds Investors: Simply Good Foods Class Actions and Related Deadlines
Pomerantz LLP indicates that a class action has been filed against The Simply Good Foods Company, and investors who purchased or held the company's securities during that period are reminded of the deadline to apply to become lead plaintiffs. The press release recalls that the company previously disclosed a slowdown in sales growth for its OWYN business, issues with product quality, and subsequently announced in its financial reports that sales for the OWYN quarter fell by nearly 17% year-on-year, with a provision for impairment of $187 million and a downward revision of the full-year sales forecast. As a result, the stock price declined after these announcements.
