IT News on October 7th: According to a report by technology media TechRadar today, Su Zifeng, the CEO of AMD, assured the public that the company will increase the production of AI data center chips in 2027.

In an interview in Taiwan, China, Su Zifeng stated: "As 2026 progresses, we are already able to ensure an increase in supply. By 2027, we will significantly increase the supply even more." It is reported that during her trip, she visited Foxconn and TSMC with the aim of ensuring that AMD can expand the production capacity of CPU and GPU to meet the growing demand for AI.
According to the original report, Su Zifeng's remarks did not mention consumer-grade products at all, which is not good news for ordinary consumers. From a commercial perspective, the profit from producing AI chips is clearly much higher than that from consumer-grade CPU and GPU.
