IT News on October 7th: According to Bloomberg, the organizers of the exhibition reported that Tesla will showcase Cybercab autonomous taxis at the Paris Motor Show, which opens on October 12th.

Serge Gachon, the director of the Paris Motor Show ( Serge Gachot ), said in a telephone interview on Tuesday that visitors present could also test drive six other Tesla models; all six of these cars are equipped with the company's FSD driving assistance system.

Cybercab is regarded as a key component of Tesla's development strategy. Tesla aims to move beyond its role as a mere electric vehicle manufacturer and transform into a leading enterprise in the field of artificial intelligence products, including humanoid robots. CEO Elon Musk Elon Musk envisions this vehicle as the core of a large-scale autonomous driving taxi service, which will cover most regions of the United States in the future, and has pledged to deploy thousands of such vehicles in the coming years.
Other exhibitors at the Paris Motor Show include Stellantis Group, the parent company of Peugeot and Citroën ( Stellantis NV ). The group plans to bring over sixty exhibition vehicles from eight brands. Under the leadership of CEO Antonio Filosa ( Antonio Filosa ), Stellantis hopes to use this Paris Motor Show to launch a brand revival campaign with its 60 exhibition vehicles.
Its competitor Renault ( Renault SA ) is expected to display around 50 production models and concept vehicles, among which the upgraded Dacia Spring all-electric model will also be unveiled; this vehicle will be assembled and produced in Europe to meet the subsidy policy requirements for locally produced models.
Chinese companies such as BYD and Xpeng, as well as the German Volkswagen Group, will also be present at this auto show.
IT noticed that BMW Group announced its withdrawal from this year's Paris Motor Show earlier this year. Following the release of a significant profit warning, the new CEO, Milan Nedeljkovic ( Milan Nedeljkovic ), is implementing various cost-cutting measures.
