Veeva DQS has cleaned data from over 1 million participants across more than 1,000 studies
The system automates data verification, helping clinical teams to significantly save costs, time, and manpower.
Barcelona, Spain, October 6, 2026 / PRNewswire / -- Veeva Systems ( NYSE : VEEV ) Today, it was announced that Veeva DQS ( Data Quality System, a data quality system) has aggregated and cleaned data from over 1 million participants involved in more than 1,000 studies, in order to accelerate the delivery of data available for analysis and insights from clinical trials. Veeva stated that with the processing of over 500,000 automated queries, Veeva DQS has helped research centers and sponsors save thousands of hours in data verification time.
"One of the main challenges we face is how to manage the massive amounts of data generated by the increasing number of clinical trials we conduct," said Vice President Ibrahim Kamstrup - Akkaoui. "Veeva DQS can help us manage, organize, clean up, and prepare this data more efficiently in order to submit it."
Veeva indicates that Veeva DQS has advanced the new generation of clinical data management by supporting the key advancements required by the risk-based strategies recommended in regulatory guidelines, which includes ICH E6 ( R3 ). With the innovation of Veeva DQS, clinical teams can:
- Faster access to high-quality data: Veeva DQS automated data flow, categorizes and visualizes key data, facilitates risk-based actions within clinical ecosystems, and eliminates the need for manual data verification.
- Establish risk-based quality management ( RBQM ): Automated data exchange between Veeva DQS and Veeva CTMS can immediately alert the clinical operations team in the event of significant data changes, such as deviations from the plan, and assist the clinical data team in calculating, tracking, and taking actions related to key risk indicators.
- Classification is performed with the help of AI which takes into account data and user factors: Veeva DQS integrates with AI to speed up the classification of research data and to understand its purpose and significance. This enables the system to generate reports, lists, test scripts, and other content, and to provide personalized user experiences and work processes based on the role of each user.
"As the sources of data continue to increase and the complexity of solutions continues to rise, applicants and CRO are leveraging Veeva DQS to automate large-scale data flows in studies of various sizes," said Pavel Burmenko, the strategic leader of Veeva DQS. "The launch of the new generation of data management represents a new level of innovation in clinical data. It coordinates risk-based reviews and elevates the role of data managers to that of strategic partners."
Veeva also indicates that the recently released Veeva Study Builder Agent can be directly configured with Veeva EDC and Veeva DQS according to the research plan, thereby enabling more rapid and consistent initiation of studies. The company invites industry insiders to attend the Veeva R &D and Quality Summit to be held in Boston from October 20th to 21st to learn about Study Builder Agent, the Veeva DQS that won an award in SCDM Innovation Award, as well as how biopharmaceutical companies are driving innovation in clinical data.
