New York, October 1 (Reuters) / PRNewswire / —— SharonAI Holdings Inc. (Nasdaq ticker: SHAZ) (“Sharon AI” or “the Company”) announced today that it has completed its first $356 million financing of senior secured debt underpinned by GPU, with a fixed interest rate of 9.95%, excluding fees.

The company stated that this financing will be secured by GPU and related cash flows. The contract-supported financing structure reflects the security and delivery discipline of the Sharon AI platform, and it also marks another step forward for the company in its goal to provide gigawatt-level AI computing power in Australia, New Zealand, and the broader Asia-Pacific region.

The financing includes well-known investors from Australia, Asia, and around the world, such as Goldman Sachs and some large private credit funds. The company stated that this round of financing is the first in a series of anticipated GPU financings, which will support the deployment of over 68,000 NVIDIA GPU units by the middle of 2027.

With the completion of this transaction, Sharon AI has secured over $2.6 billion in institutional debt and equity capital over the past 10 months, continuing the company's capital market strategy. This highlights its ability to access a diversified range of capital sources as it expands its AI infrastructure platform to serve ultra-large-scale customers, AI native enterprises, governments, businesses, and research institutions.

Sharon AI, co-founder and CEO, and James Manning stated: "As the global demand for sovereign, secure, and credible AI infrastructure continues to exceed the available supply, especially in Australia, New Zealand, and the broader Asia-Pacific region, accessing scalable debt capital is an important driving force for our growth."

"This financing demonstrates how we intend to fund the deployment of GPU through the debt market, and to leverage our current order book of high-quality customers with a total contract value exceeding $8.8 billion. The aim is to enhance return on equity and ultimately drive long-term shareholder value growth. With a solid balance sheet, a growing pipeline of contracted capacity, and a prudent capital allocation approach, we believe we are well-equipped to continue expanding the AI platform in the Asia-Pacific region."
