CoreWeave CEO Michael Introtto stated that the opposition to data centers and regulatory measures have not led to a decrease in orders; they will only change the location of infrastructure deployment and will not weaken demand. The report also mentioned that New York State has signed the first statewide suspension order in the United States targeting large data centers, while polls show that voters still generally oppose the construction of data centers in their communities.

CoreWeave CEO Michael Introtto ( Michael Intrator ) doesn't care about the opposition surrounding data centers.

In an interview on Wednesday morning with the CNBC program “Squawk on the Street”, Intertato stated: “There has definitely been no reduction in orders at all.”

He said, "The regulatory measures introduced around data centers only serve to migrate the infrastructure to other locations." He also stated, "They will not reduce demand in any way."

Intertalo stated that the market needs more data centers.

He said, "The only question is where you build it, and that's it."

In July of this year, Governor Kathy Hochul of New York State ( Kathy Hochul ) signed the first statewide suspension order in the United States targeting large data centers. Other governors, including those from the Republican Party, have also begun to reduce the tax incentives and other benefits that data centers have traditionally enjoyed. It remains to be seen how the situation will develop after the mid-term elections in November; in these elections, candidates from both parties have been vying to portray their opponents as being too lenient towards the AI industry.

Trump told reporters, "This is a group that loves the local community. They love our country, and they will work together with the local community, especially in terms of data centers. They will satisfy the community."

Polls show that voters still oppose the construction of data centers in their own communities. A national survey by NPR / PBS News / Marist Poll found that over six in ten registered voters (65%) are against the idea of building data centers in their communities.

Companies like CoreWeave have listed data center suspension orders as one of the potential risks in their quarterly filings submitted to the U.S. Securities and Exchange Commission. CoreWeave's latest 10-Q (second-quarter report) includes a new mention of the suspension order from New York State.

At the company's financial report conference call, Intertato also expressed a similar view.

In the end, he said, "This is in our interest, as well as in their interest, which is to make us good neighbors of their community."
