According to reports by Korean media EtNews, LG Electronics showcased a smart home AI voice assistant developed in collaboration with Microsoft at the Microsoft Industry Summit held in Gangnam District, Seoul. This assistant is designed to be used with ThinQ ON central devices and claims to provide a conversation experience that is close to human interaction. Based on voice-to-voice intelligent agent technology and integrated with Microsoft’s Voice Live, it supports an “interjection” feature. LG plans to launch devices equipped with this feature within this year and will also provide updates for existing users.
IT News on September 30th: According to reports by Korean media EtNews, LG Electronics showcased a smart home AI voice assistant developed in collaboration with Microsoft at the Microsoft Industry Summit held today in Gangnam District, Seoul. This product is applied to the smart home hub device “ThinQ ON” and is claimed to offer a dialogue experience that is close to human communication.
According to the introduction, this voice assistant is based on voice-to-voice (Speech to Speech) agent technology and integrates Microsoft's (Voice Live). It supports an "interjection" feature, allowing users to continue asking new questions while listening to the assistant's response. The system will immediately interrupt the current response, understand the user's new intent, and switch the conversation accordingly.
LG plans to launch ThinQ ON equipped with Voice Live within this year, and will also update relevant functions for existing ThinQ ON users. The application scenarios of this assistant are not limited to homes; it can also be used in hotels, offices, retail stores, and other B2B spaces.
