On September 29, 2026, GTT Communications Inc announced the launch of GTT Defense Halo, a native network defense platform designed for an environment where threats no longer evolve at a human pace. The solution proposed in this patent application is built upon the AI infrastructure of GTT and is deployed with a dedicated instance for each customer.

GTT indicates that GTT Defense Halo has changed the mode of network defense in three aspects:

• Firstly, it proactively identifies vulnerabilities and policy gaps in the customer's overall environment, and provides repair solutions generated by AI in real-time before attackers become aware of these issues.
• Secondly, it can identify abnormal behaviors unique to the customer's network and determine in real-time whether these abnormalities constitute a real security threat. If it is confirmed to be a real threat, repairs can be made according to the network speed.
• Thirdly, it generates a stateful real-time model of the customer's network, visualizing each connection and communication between hosts, thereby supporting real-time threat hunting and vulnerability exposure assessment.

According to GTT, in the AI era, proactively detecting and responding to vulnerabilities and security threats at network speed has become a fundamental requirement for cybersecurity. The company mentioned that this reality was clearly stated in an open letter released in late August. This open letter was signed by over 100 technology, cybersecurity, and financial services companies, which warned that cyberattacks empowered by AI will become more common and complex, and the window of time for defenders to prepare is very short.

GTT indicates that GTT Defense Halo is supported by its AI factory, which is embedded within the company's global backbone network and hosted in the United States, the United Kingdom, and the European Union to meet corporate scale and sovereignty requirements.
