STRC Repurchase reaches another $151.7 million
In addition to purchasing Bitcoin, Strategy also repurchased 1,534,530 shares of the variable-rate Series A perpetual Stretch preferred stocks, namely STRC, for an amount of approximately $151.7 million.
This latest transaction continues Strategy's repurchase program launched earlier in 2026. According to the documents, at the end of the most recent week, there was still an authorized amount of $723.5 million available under its digital credit securities repurchase program.
The previous STRC repurchase of $174 million occurred between September 14 and September 20. During that period, the company's expenditure on preferred stock repurchases exceeded its $75.7 million in Bitcoin purchases.
Earlier in September, Strategy spent $176.3 million to repurchase STRC without purchasing any Bitcoin that week, after which they doubled the maximum authorization for repurchasing digital credit securities to $2 billion.
Strategy stated in July that it plans to repurchase STRC when the trading price of the preferred stock is below its par value of $100, but this will depend on market conditions, liquidity, and other capital priorities.
MSTR provides funding for two transactions.
Strategy funds the latest Bitcoin purchases and part of the STRC repurchases by selling MSTR common stocks.
The company sold 1,469,165 shares of MSTR from September 21 to September 27, raising a net amount of 246.2 million US dollars. According to the documents, 142.7 million US dollars were used for purchasing Bitcoin, and 103.5 million US dollars were used for the repurchase of STRC.
In addition, $48.1 million of the STRC repurchase funds came from the USD Cash balance of Strategy. During the same period, the company also used $22.1 million from its separate USD Reserve to pay preferred stock dividends.
As of September 27, Strategy reported that it still had an additional MSTR issuance capacity of $18.84 billion under its ATM plan. No preferred shares were sold during the most recent reporting period.
This financing structure is different from last week; last week, Strategy did not carry out ATM stock sales, but instead used existing cash to fund Bitcoin purchases and STRC repurchases.
Strategy holds assets worth $6.02 billion.
As of September 27, the USD Reserve of Strategy was 5.02 billion US dollars, and the USD Cash was 1 billion US dollars, totaling 6.02 billion US dollars.
The company defines USD Reserve as capital intended to support the payment of preferred stock dividends and outstanding debt interest. USD Cash is used exclusively for Bitcoin purchases, reserve replenishment, capital management, and other financial purposes.
Since July, there have been significant changes to this cash framework; at that time, Strategy established a reserve of $3.75 billion, while Bitcoin purchases were still on hold.
Strategy In September, the board of directors expanded the STRC repurchase plan and continued to manage Bitcoin purchases, common stock issuance, and preferred stock obligations through different fund pools.
As of September 27, the company still has $723.5 million available under the digital credit securities repurchase authorization, and an additional $1 billion is available under the separate MSTR common stock repurchase plan.
