Tesla stated in an email sent to invited guests that the event "must be held outdoors" and that it may be necessary to reschedule the time. The weather forecast for central Texas on Thursday indicates a 82% chance of rainfall, accompanied by thunderstorms.

According to Tesla, this event "includes a unique experience that must be conducted outdoors," and the company "is continuously monitoring the weather forecast." No alternative date was provided in the email; only a commitment was made to "get in touch as soon as possible and provide more details."

Earlier this month, Tesla used an image featuring " Go for launch " to preview the launch event on October 1st. As we reported in August, the core of this event will be a hover demonstration using a cooling propeller kit developed by SpaceX, codenamed A71, at the SpaceX rocket test site in McGregor, Texas, near Waco. It is expected that the vehicle will operate remotely with no one inside, and the audience will be arranged hundreds of yards away, as the noise from the propellers is sufficient to damage eardrums.

So, "outdoor" is not just a style choice. Propellers cannot be ignited inside a tent.

McGregor's weather forecast

The McGregor weather data captured on Monday morning Open-Meteo indicates that the probability of precipitation on Thursday, October 1st, is 82%, with thunderstorms also predicted, and gusts could reach up to 32 miles per hour.

The rainfall on Friday isn't much better, with a 75% probability of precipitation, but the wind speed will drop to gusts of about 13 miles per hour. By Saturday, the probability of rainfall drops to 42%.

The forecast may still change in three days. However, for suspending a car in front of an audience using air conditioning propellers, thunderstorms and gusts of wind over 30 miles per hour are almost the least ideal conditions.

This demonstration itself has been rescheduled multiple times. Last October, Musk stated that a "flying" demonstration would take place before the end of 2025. A week later, Tesla postponed it to April 1, 2026, and then moved the mass production date to 2027 or 2028. In April, during a financial report conference call, the timeline was changed to "possibly around a month," followed by August, and then to October 1.

Although this will be the 12th postponement in 9 years, at least this time it is not Musk's responsibility. Tesla has no control over the storms in Texas, and if the forecast comes true, it is responsible to postpone a remote-controlled hover show with an audience in attendance nearby.

If Tesla really has to postpone again, we expect it to be by days rather than months. The real question is, what will this event ultimately turn into: a model that is close to mass production, with final specifications, price, and delivery date, or just another impressive video that pushes the timeline further back?

What is the tokenization of real-world assets? A detailed explanation of bonds, stocks, and funds
The tokenization of real-world assets ( RWA tokenization ) refers to the representation of ownership or economic rights of traditional assets through blockchain-based tokens. The article introduces its basic definition, the differences under various legal and structural arrangements, and why assets such as bonds and funds are suitable for tokenization. It also points out that tokenization changes the way ownership records and transfers are managed, but does not necessarily alter the legal attributes of the assets themselves.
