Intel's stock price rose by 8% on Monday. The company stated that it will start raising the price of the PC processors by about 10% from the beginning of October. The market interprets this move as Intel preferring to maintain its profit margins rather than continuing to compete for shipments by cutting prices.

Capacity and ratings provide support

Intel's upward trend was also driven by two pieces of news. First, the company announced that it had processed 1 million wafers using the new generation of High devices. Second, Northland raised Intel's rating to “Outperform”.

Financing is still in progress.

Intel is currently also advancing a new share financing of $20 billion, with an issue price of $95 per share. The funds raised will be used for the expansion of its AI chip and foundry business. Influenced by multiple factors, Intel's stock price has risen by more than 160% this year.

The AI craze is changing hedging transactions; the US dollar may not be safer after all.
Foreign capital continues to flow into large U.S. tech stocks, bonds of cloud service companies, and power grid infrastructure, making the connection between the dollar and the AI investment cycle even tighter. Reuters reports that recently, when the valuation of AI came under pressure, safe-haven funds flowed more towards the Japanese yen and Swiss franc, and the dollar did not receive the same support.
