Ripple has launched Ripple Mint, a stablecoin management platform for institutions, aiming to integrate the issuance, redemption, and fund allocation of RLUSD into a single system. The platform is already open to existing RLUSD clients, with target users including exchanges, payment companies, market makers, asset management firms, and fintech companies.

Supports casting and system integration

Ripple states that Ripple Mint provides a web interface and API, allowing institutions to either manually process RLUSD transactions in the background or directly integrate the minting, redemption, and fund management processes into their own systems for automated operation.

The platform covers all stages including fiat currency deposits, stablecoin minting applications, on-chain settlement, and redemption withdrawals. Ripple has also added real-time notifications and a unified reference number to facilitate institutions in tracking every fund transfer and completing reconciliation and internal recording.

For payment and treasury scenarios

According to Ripple, this platform primarily addresses the issues of reliance on manual processing and decentralized systems in stablecoin operations. Users can directly mint and redeem RLUSD, transfer assets between supported blockchains, and integrate related processes into treasury, settlement, compliance, and accounting systems.

This means that RLUSD is no longer just a stablecoin product on a single chain, but has been further packaged as a digital dollar tool that can be embedded in the daily operations of enterprises, with key scenarios including cross-border payments, transaction settlement and liquidity management.

RLUSD continues to expand to multiple chains

Ripple also stated that RLUSD's coverage has expanded from XRP Ledger and Ethereum to Base, Optimism, Ink, Unichain, and the XRPL EVM Sidechain. The company hopes to use this to broaden institutional adoption in DeFi, cross-border payments, digital asset trading, and the real-world asset tokenization market.

The XRPL EVM Sidechain is listed by Ripple as part of its multi-chain strategy. This network is compatible with the Ethereum Virtual Machine, allowing developers to deploy EVM-based applications while leveraging the processing speed and lower cost of the XRP Ledger.

RLUSD and XRP work in parallel.

In its introduction, Ripple emphasizes that RLUSD is not positioned as a replacement for XRP. The former is primarily used for payments, settlements, and treasury management, while the latter continues to serve as a network liquidity and bridging asset, used for cross-chain transfers, decentralized exchanges, staking, and global payment flows.

With the launch of Ripple Mint and the integration of RLUSD into more payment products, Ripple continues to advance its institutional-grade digital financial system, which operates with stablecoins and XRP.
