#Bitcoin – What's Next? Sunday's Key Report: Everything We Need to Know 🚩 Technical Analysis/Lifecycle Assessment/Psychological Analysis: Let's look at the charts to understand the current market situation, market expectations, and what might happen next. As always, the Golden Rule applies: the masses are wrong. Currently, we can roughly consider three camps in the market. Most people believe Bitcoin will bottom out between September and October, with a price between $40,000 and $50,000. The second camp believes the bottom has already formed, and the third camp believes the bottom will be between $28,000 and $33,000. The most supported view is currently that the bottom will be between $40,000 and $50,000, which is also the prevailing opinion. The key point is: back in October 2025, when Bitcoin reached its peak of $120,000, I predicted a bottom of $40,000 to $50,000. At that time, almost no one listened to my predictions; everyone was expecting new all-time highs. Back then, the masses scoffed at these targets, but now they treat them like gospel. I recently adjusted my ultimate target: no longer $40,000-$50,000, but rather the current $54,000 range as a highly attractive area. Since I announced this, I've been buying Bitcoin and Ethereum with a 5% position in the $54,000 to $64,000 range. The key is this: when the entire market agrees on the same bottom target within the same month, that target loses its validity. The bottom the masses are waiting for won't appear the way they expect. They're just repeating my previous predictions. I've changed my strategy. For example, they now believe in the four-year cycle, but scoffed at it at the $120,000 high. If they believed in the four-year cycle, why didn't they? Why are they so fixated on the cycle low now? The answer lies in their greed. We are still in a bear market, and that's why I'm buying. Bitcoin isn't in a bull market, it's in a bear market. And that's why I'm buying. It's easy to understand: fools only see two states: bull market or bear market. Like a fool rushing into an intersection the moment the traffic light turns yellow without looking left or right, assuming the next second will be green just because it was red a second ago. Only a fool would rush into a yellow light without knowing what's coming next. The same applies to markets. They aren't simply "bull" or "bear" markets, especially when significant tops and bottoms are forming. The biggest opportunities often arise during market transitions, but it's also during these transitions that most people are most confused. When I say I expect the bear market to end, it doesn't mean we've entered a bull market. What I mean is that I accumulate during a bear market because I believe its final stages are approaching. And this is precisely when historically risk-adjusted returns are highest. The biggest investment opportunities often appear in bear markets, not after everyone thinks the bull market has begun. So, let me be clear: we are still in a bear market. I've never denied that. The difference is that I buy before market sentiment becomes clear. Those who see things in black and white don't understand that accumulation happens before confirmation. By the time the market officially enters a bull market in the public eye, the biggest opportunities have often already passed. Despite the ongoing market hype, my current preference for Ethereum's native token (ethereum:native) over Bitcoin ($BTC) is as follows: 1/ Bitcoin rose 0.55% to $63,220.03, but this increase was primarily driven by a 34.4% surge in perpetual futures open interest to $372.31 billion. The average funding rate doubled to +0.0075%. This indicates that the market is mainly driven by aggressive leveraged long positions rather than natural spot buying. Therefore, this rally will be very fragile and could trigger a sudden wave of liquidations should market sentiment shift. 2/ On August 2nd, the spot Bitcoin ETF recorded an outflow of $265 million, while the market sentiment index was 35, in the fear zone. Institutional capital is withdrawing, while derivatives traders are pouring in. This divergence between leveraged speculation and institutional withdrawal has historically been a harbinger of significant corrections, raising serious questions about the sustainability of current price levels. 3/ Ethereum outperformed Bitcoin, rising 1.07% to $1,871.70. The main driver was the easing of geopolitical tensions following President Trump's cancellation of plans to launch a military strike against Iran. This rise reflects a shift in risk appetite across cryptocurrencies and traditional markets, rather than a rise in a single coin. 4/ In July, the US spot Ethereum ETF saw net inflows of $365.17 million, the highest since 2026. Average funding rates rose 32.48% to +0.0062929%. Increased institutional demand and derivatives holdings give Ethereum a more diversified foundation than Bitcoin. 5/ Bitcoin faces resistance in the $64,500 to $65,000 range, with support at $62,000. A break below this support level could see a drop to $60,000. The US jobs report released on August 7th is a key catalyst in the near term. Weak data could support price increases, while strong data could put downward pressure on risk assets. 6/ Ethereum is testing support between $1850 and $1870. If this support holds, it could test the resistance zone of $1880 to $1910, which coincides with the 38.2% Fibonacci retracement level near $1875.40. A break below this resistance level would target $1. 750. The US inflation report released on August 12th will likely determine the next move. 7/ The total market capitalization of cryptocurrencies has only increased by 0.70%.

The classic L2 vs. Ethereum debate is unfolding once again, and this time, Base is at the center of the storm. Layer 2 was initially touted as a way to scale Ethereum while supporting it. Users pay transaction fees in ETH. These fees were supposed to strengthen the mainnet, create demand for ETH, and maintain balance across the ecosystem. However, Base is doing the exact opposite. It earns enormous amounts of ETH in transaction fees from all its on-chain activity. But instead of holding these ETH or giving them back to the Ethereum ecosystem, it sells these fees, with the proceeds flowing into Bitcoin. Meanwhile, Base's parent company has essentially maintained its ETH holdings while continuously increasing its BTC holdings. Base uses Ethereum for security and settlement, extracting value created by ETH users and converting it into something of no benefit to Ethereum. If a mainstream L2 project doesn't support ETH, then the community shouldn't support the project either.
