Moderna raises its full-year revenue forecast, achieving its first profit since 2024 in the third quarter

According to CoinMeta, Moderna has raised its full-year performance guidance and announced its first quarterly profit since 2024, mainly due to a significant rebound in COVID-19 vaccine sales compared to the same period last year. The company expects its revenue this year to grow by 15% to 25%, higher than the previous forecast of 10%. Third-quarter profits also exceeded the average expectations of Wall Street analysts, who previously predicted that the company would incur losses. Moderna is attempting to diversify its growth by shifting its focus to cancer drug research and development. The mRNA skin cancer vaccine, developed in collaboration with Merck, recently achieved success in a late-stage clinical trial, driving its stock price to multi-year highs. As of Thursday, the company's stock price has risen by more than 700% this year. If approved, this drug, named intismeran, is expected to be approved for marketing in the United States next year.
