According to CoinMeta, based on Crypto.News data, the price of Bitcoin fell by more than 6% on November 6th to $75,000, mainly due to heavy selling of U.S. tech stocks and high-leverage liquidations putting pressure on the crypto market. As of this writing, Bitcoin is trading at $75,388, having fallen 6.3% in the past 24 hours. Prior to this, Bitcoin was trading above $80,000, but sellers pushed it down below $78,000, eventually reaching a seven-week low. This decline erased Bitcoin's brief rebound after the elections, with the blow from Wall Street affecting the crypto market as well. Investors are concerned about the prospects of artificial intelligence companies following the Democratic Party's victory in both houses of Congress. On November 5th, the U.S. stock market suffered a heavy blow, with the Nasdaq Composite Index falling by 5.5%. Semiconductor companies were hit the hardest, with the Philadelphia Semiconductor Index plummeting by 12%.
