According to CoinMeta, autumn grain production accounts for about three-quarters of the annual grain output. The latest agricultural situation report from the Ministry of Agriculture and Rural Affairs indicates that over 90% of the autumn grain harvest has been completed nationwide, making a bountiful harvest a foregone conclusion. This year, China has stepped up efforts to promote a new round of initiatives aimed at increasing grain production by 100 billion jin (a unit of weight in China). For the first time, 20 cities have been selected for comprehensive efforts to improve per-unit yield, and the number of counties participating in these efforts has increased from 702 to 1000, aiming to achieve more widespread and balanced increases in production. In Tongliao City, Inner Mongolia, experts conducted yield assessments on 13.54 million mu (about 835,000 hectares) of demonstration areas for yield improvement, among which 4.0699 million mu of fields have reached the level of "ton-grain fields," representing the best performance in terms of per-unit yield improvement across the country.
