According to CoinMeta, the NASDAQ index faced selling pressure due to the Democratic Party's victory in the midterms. The NASDAQ 100 index fell by 6.4%, resulting in a loss of $2.5 trillion in market value, while the NASDAQ Composite Index dropped by 5.5% and entered a correction zone, falling nearly 12% from its October peak. The semiconductor sector suffered a heavy blow, with NVIDIA declining by 9% and AMD falling by 17%.
