2026-11-05 17:46:37
According to CoinMeta, on Thursday, several European airlines were forced to divert multiple passenger flights further due to bomb threats received. Earlier this week, a series of similar threats had already caused disruptions to several passenger flights. A Wizz Air flight from Milan to Warsaw was diverted to Vienna during its journey on Thursday after receiving a threat. A spokesperson for the company confirmed this information. The French Prime Minister's office also confirmed that a flight from Dublin to Rome was forced to land at a military base in Evreux, Normandy, due to a bomb threat. The Prime Minister's office is monitoring the developments in accordance with relevant procedures. The bomb threat incidents that have occurred this week do not yet show any clear pattern, and there is no obvious connection between the airlines that received the threats or the affected routes. Bomb threats are relatively rare, and in almost all cases, they turn out to be false alarms. On average, more than 30,000 flights operate in European airspace every day.
