According to CoinMeta, the European Union has been charging a 2-euro handling fee on low-value imported goods since November 1st, and had previously started imposing a 3-euro tariff in July. Huang Ling, spokesperson for the Ministry of Commerce, stated at a regular press conference held on the 5th that China is highly concerned about these new regulations introduced by the EU. Cross-border e-commerce, as a new form and model of international trade, provides diverse options for businesses and consumers around the world. It is hoped that the EU will carefully assess the impact of these policies to create favorable conditions for cooperation between China and Europe in areas such as e-commerce.
