2026-10-26 18:15:52
According to CoinMeta, the MEXC exchange has confirmed that it has not obtained authorization under the EU’s MiCA framework and is gradually shutting down its services in the Netherlands. The exchange also stated that customers from Russia, Belarus, and 13 other restricted regions are subject to the same limitations. As per the national restrictions guidelines dated October 21st, MEXC has not been authorized within the EU and the European Economic Area. The MEXC exit is related to a warning issued by the Dutch Financial Markets Authority (AFM) on September 24, 2025, which indicated that MEXC was providing services to Dutch consumers without authorization. The final exit plan for MEXC is set for November 16th, and affected customers will receive individual notifications regarding how to close their accounts and withdraw their funds.
