2026-10-24 21:04:07
According to CoinMeta, Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu stated on October 23 that Israel may face international banking sanctions and has instructed officials to prepare plans for using blockchain and digital currencies to maintain capital flows in the event of such sanctions. During a television interview with economic journalist Roy Katz, Netanyahu was asked whether blockchain could serve as an alternative, to which he replied, "Of course, it is one of them." He emphasized that Israel needs an economy that can bypass banking sanctions. Although this idea has not yet been concretized, Netanyahu's remarks indicate Israel's strategic thinking in dealing with potential sanctions.
