According to CoinMeta, engineer Thariq Shihipar has resigned from Claude Code. In July 2025, he joked about joining Anthropic after taking a look at the Opus bill. Thariq is an active technical representative of the Claude Code team; in March of this year, he announced the launch of the Claude Code voice mode, and in July, he revealed that the team had reduced system prompts by over 80% without causing any loss in programming performance evaluation. He often explains product mechanisms on social media and responds to user disputes. The resignation news sparked jokes that he quit because he could finally afford the Opus bill.
