SK Hynix Cancels Plans for Its US Subsidiary IPO, Stock Price Plunges 8%
2026-10-23 14:33:47
According to CoinMeta, SK Hynix announced the cancellation of the IPO plan of its US subsidiary Solidigm, which caused the stock price to fall by 8%. The plan was originally intended to list on NASDAQ and raise approximately $10 billion, but faced challenges due to shareholders' opposition to dilution and ownership splitting. The company confirmed that after considering “capital market conditions and other factors,” Solidigm abandoned the IPO financing and evaluation. This move has forced SK Hynix to seek other ways to fund the expansion of Solidigm, as concerns about AI expenditures have affected chip stocks.
