According to CoinMeta, “In the first three quarters, Guangdong’s GDP grew by 4.6% year-on-year, achieving the fastest growth rate in five years.” Reported by Cailian News on October 23rd, the Guangdong Provincial Bureau of Statistics released economic data for the first three quarters of this year. Based on the unified accounting results of regional GDP, Guangdong achieved a regional GDP of 11,109.077 billion yuan in the first three quarters. Calculated at constant prices, it grew by 4.6% year-on-year, which is 0.1 percentage points higher than the growth rate in the first half of the year. Overall, Guangdong’s economic growth rate in the first three quarters was in line with the national average, and its economic volume continued to rank first in the country. Comparing with data from recent years, this is the first time since the third quarter of 2021 that Guangdong has matched the national growth rate, setting the fastest growth rate for the same period in five years. The Provincial Bureau of Statistics analyzed that since the third quarter, indicators such as agriculture, industry, consumption, imports and exports, and residents’ income in Guangdong have all seen accelerated growth compared to the first half of the year. The decline in investment has continued to narrow, the service industry has remained stable, and prices have risen moderately, thus consolidating the support for steady growth. Specifically, in the first three quarters of this year, Guangdong’s primary industry added a value of 394.061 billion yuan, growing by 4.0%; the secondary industry added a value of 4,157.179 billion yuan, growing by 4.9%; and the tertiary industry added a value of 6,557.838 billion yuan, growing by 4.5%.
