According to CoinMeta, UTXO, which is supported by Tether, has announced the opening of UTXO to professional operators such as exchanges, wallets, and market makers. Approved institutions are allowed to test the minting, private transfers, and redemption of USDT on Bitcoin’s signet test network through the RGB protocol bridge, in preparation for its public launch via partner wallets and exchanges on November 28th. This bridging token supports confidential transaction details and optional disclosure for regulatory compliance purposes, and is planned to be extended to the Lightning Network in the first quarter of 2027, enabling near-instant payments.
