According to CoinMeta, Trump signed an executive order on Thursday local time with the aim of reducing the housing costs for American taxpayers who intend to purchase single-family residences. According to the executive order released by the White House, Trump instructed Bill Pult, the head of the Federal Housing Finance Agency, to develop a pilot program: borrowers will have their mortgage insurance premiums automatically canceled once they meet the corresponding home equity requirements based on current market values. The executive order also establishes a "Prefabricated Housing Innovation Working Group," which is expected to explore measures to improve the quality of housing construction and reduce building costs by promoting the application of modern manufacturing technologies. In addition, the executive order instructs U.S. Agriculture Secretary Brooke Rollins and Veterans Affairs Secretary Doug Collins to lower the interest rates on single-family residential loans issued by their respective departments.
